LAUSD Grab & Go Food Centers are open for the summer on Monday through Friday, from 8-11 a.m. until August 14th.

Please note: The Grab & Go Food Center that was located at Verdugo Hills High School has moved to Mount Gleason Middle School, located at 10965 Mount Gleason Ave., Sunland-Tujunga 91040.

I am happy to help secure $20,000 in state funding to support City of San Fernando, Government and the Mariachi Master Apprentice Program- Mariachi Tesoro & Los Tesoritos. MMAP plays a vital role in preserving the art, music, culture, history and traditions of the community members that live in #AD39! ‬

I am pleased to announce that my office partnered with LA Sanitation and Environment to plant 57 new street trees along Foothill Blvd. in Tujunga, between Marcus Avenue and Lowell Avenue.

These new grant-funded trees will help create a more sustainable and vibrant community by providing shade, reducing energy needs, contributing to cleaner air, and beautifying this major corridor.

PPE distribution in #AD39

Last week, I was excited to partner up with Los Angeles County Business Federation “Bizfed” and my legislative colleagues from LA for a timely PPE distribution in #AD39.

The onset of #COVID19 has made procuring essential PPEs such as medical gowns very difficult for small healthcare providers. Together with Bizfed, we delivered over 600 Gowns to our most vulnerable residents and staff at Mother Gertrude’s Assisted Living Facility in San Fernando and Astoria Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sylmar.

Supporting our healthcare workers on the front lines is priority for me and I was happy to organize this effort!

Sign up for a FREE street tree! 🌳 The Office of Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez is working with LA Sanitation & Environment to add trees to Council District 7. This is a grant funded program that will provide shade, cleaner air, and other environmental benefits for decades to come. The street trees can be planted at schools, parks, and in front of businesses or homes.
