Equestrian Rider Safety Bill

Our Equestrian Rider Safety bill has passed the Senate floor with bipartisan support and now goes back to the Assembly for a final vote!

Thank you to our co-author, Senator Anthony Portantino, for presenting the bill on my behalf on the Senate floor.
My district is home to a vibrant equestrian community and is one of the few remaining residential areas in the City of Los Angeles that has private homes zoned for horse keeping. I am proud to champion this timely legislation for our equestrian riders in AD39 and the state.

Back To School Backpack Drive Back To School Backpack Drive

Our students are our future, and it is important we provide them with the tools they need to succeed during the school year.

Thank you to everyone who donated to our #BackToSchool Backpack Drive. With your help, we were able to collect about 500 supplies including 80 backpacks, and hundreds of notebooks, pencils, rules, erasers, crayons, masks, and more. I would also like to thank the Child Care Resource Center that will be distributing these supplies to families in need. #AD39
