Addressing Small Businesses
Addressing Small Businesses

This morning I had the pleasure of addressing Small Businesses in the Northeast San Fernando Valley during Collective Strategies LA’s “Access to Capital Virtual Series”. Thank you Luis Rivera, CEO of Collective Strategies LA for inviting me to share welcoming remarks and highlight this opportunity available for all small businesses in and out of the Northeast San Fernando Valley. The resources shared throughout the Virtual Series are essential to all businesses that are currently struggling to keep afloat during this #COVID19 Pandemic. If you are a small business I encourage you to tune into the following sessions coming up!

If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Collective Strategies LA at (818)438-0840 or visit their website at www.collectivestrategiesla.com/ATC

I will be hosting a Facebook LIVE town hall discussion on nonprofits, on Wednesday, July 15th from 3-4 pm. We will be hearing from Jan Masaoka and Lucy Salcido Carter with The California Association of Nonprofits, Michael Centeno with Tia Chucha’s Centro Cultural & Bookstore, and Maribel Garcia with Chicas Mom, Inc.. Nonprofits play an integral part in serving our communities and we need to ensure that they are not left behind in our #COVID19 response efforts. We will be providing resources that are currently available to our nonprofits but more importantly, we want to hear from our nonprofits and provide them the opportunity to share their perspective, challenges and ideas.

I will be hosting a Facebook LIVE

Under my direction, the Bureau of Streets Services is currently resurfacing almost two lane miles of Eldridge Avenue in Sylmar. This effort is part of a larger transformation project to reconfigure the busy road to a safer path for cyclists.

LADOT is working to extend bicycle lanes on Eldridge Avenue as the existing bicycle lanes currently end at Hubbard Street. This project will extend the Eldridge bicycle lanes south to Harding Street to create a safer connection between Mission College campuses, neighborhood destinations such as parks and schools, and to the Pacoima Wash.
