PPE Distribution Drive
PPE Distribution Drive

Today, I was happy to partner up with the Personal Assistance Services Council of Los Angeles for another PPE distribution Drive for our IHSS Providers and Consumers in the San Fernando Valley. Today, we installed a left-turn phasing signal at Foothill/Maclay Street in Sylmar, a busy intersection that has experienced 31 collisions between 2015 and 2020. Improving traffic safety and reducing collisions in Sylmar and across the 7th Council District is a top priority.
This left-turn signal has the newest technology that tracks the flow of traffic. Depending on the traffic flow, the timing of the traffic signal changes, minimizing traffic collision, increasing pedestrian safety, and preventing traffic from freeway 210.
This left- turn signal is our second of three that we’re installing this month across the District. Our final signal will be placed in Tujunga.
If there’s an intersection with safety concerns in your area, please contact my Pacoima field office at 818-485-0600.
