Each year, in recognition of Womens History Month, I honor extraordinary women from my district.

This year, to give more deserving women an opportunity to be recognized for their service and contributions, I am seeking community input on nominations for AD 39’s Woman of the Year. If you know inspiring women of distinction and service in your community, I want to know about them.

Please fill out this form: https://a39.asmdc.org/woman-year-2022-0.

Adopt-A-Lot Pilot Program

Through the Adopt-A-Lot pilot program that I led, we created a citywide process for community groups to adopt and transform vacant city lots into lively community spaces. My team worked with KDI and Pacoima Beautiful to convert a vacant lot on Tupper St and Columbus Ave in North Hills into a community recreational space featuring planter beds, play equipment, and seating areas. Through our new partnership with Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust, we now want to convert this pilot space into a permanent park. Make your voice count and share your ideas to help design the space.
All meetings are outdoors and following social distancing COVID-19 protocols. If you are not able to attend, please provide feedback by visiting https://bit.ly/3fgtqaj
