Mission Hills residents contacted my office reporting illegal dumping and graffiti in a walkway tunnel on Tulsa Street and Orion Avenue. My office worked closely with the Los Angeles Sanitation & Environment to clean the area and remove the graffiti.

Stay Safe and Cool In The Pool

From Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez Desk – Road Striping along Foothill Boulevard and Gridley Street

After my office received numerous calls regarding traffic safety at the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Harding Street, we worked with the LADOT Official to expedite the review and design of road striping along Foothill Boulevard and Gridley Street to address this issue.
I’m pleased to report that the redesign of the road striping has been completed. The redesign included adding a two-way center turn lane between Gridley Street and Maclay Street in front of Tovara Homes. The center lane will make it safer for southbound traffic on Foothill Boulevard to enter Tovara Homes and for those exiting Tovara Homes to make a left on Foothill Boulevard and to enter southbound traffic. These improvements will help increase visibility and ensure the safety of the public.

Road closure alert! The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced a 55-hour full closure of westbound I-210 between I-5 and Roxford Street from Friday, July 9, 2021, at 10 PM through 5 AM Monday, July 12, 2021.
The closures are as follows:
🚧Full closure of westbound I-210 between Interstate 5 (I-5) and Roxford St.
🚧Westbound Polk St. on-ramp
🚧Westbound Roxford St. on-ramp
🚧Westbound Yarnell St. on and off-ramp
🚧Westbound I-210 to I-5 Interchange
🚧Eastbound Paxton St. off-ramp
Motorists are advised to use State Route 118 (SR-118) as an alternate route to reach their destination and avoid the full closure area.
