Virtual Rally in Support of the California Seabed Mining Prevention Act

Assemblywoman Luz Rivas, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and the Surfrider Foundation host a virtual rally to unveil the California Seabed Mining Prevention Act, which would prohibit seabed mining in state marine waters due to the unacceptably high risk of damage and disruption it poses to California ecosystems.

From Assemblymember Luz Rivas Desk – COVID-19 Pop-Up Vaccination Clinic in North Hollywood

In partnership with Pacoima Beautiful, Paul Krekorian, 986 Pharmacy, NoHo Neighborhood Council, Southern California Crossroads, and Supervisor Kathryn Barger, we are hosting another COVID-19 pop-up vaccination clinic in North Hollywood.
Join us at the Red Line/Orange Line tomorrow, February 5th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a free pop-up clinic offering the Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J vaccines, as well as booster doses for qualified residents.

Walk-ins are accepted, and appointments can be made through myturn.ca.gov.

While our students are finishing up their first month back at school, I want to remind them of how much we need them in the STEM field, especially more women!

Back in December, I visited Arleta High School to encourage students to pursue #STEM careers in their futures.
