The MRod Youth Council is made up of students from the Seventh Council District. Our second cohort collectively decided to collect a menstrual hygiene donation drive for those experiencing homelessness. Working together they built their strategy for outreach to collect donations from their schools and neighboring communities. The MRod Youth Council collected over 2,000 menstrual hygiene products that were donated to Sisters on the Streets, a non-profit that provides menstrual hygiene products to those experiencing homelessness in the San Fernando Valley. We are so proud of the students and the hard work they have put into the MRod Youth Council this year. We know their futures are bright.
