Removing dead trees and replanting to rebuild our tree canopy is work I’ve been leading for the last four years. Working with our Urban Forestry Division, I secured additional funding to remove 25 tree stumps that posed a safety hazard in our neighborhoods. These stump removals help create a safe and accessible path for all sidewalk users including pedestrians and equestrians.
Supporting this effort in the 7th Council District, Iām pleased to share that our Operation Bright S.P.O.T. team will be expanding its services to now include stump removal in the district. During the week, the crew was active in removing stumps across the 7th Council District.
