In an effort to increase energy efficiency, the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP) updated electric meters. The new smart meters share real-time usage details with LADWP, and allow the department to quickly identify and respond to service issues. Customers should have received a notice detailing that their meter was replaced. Customers who did not receive a replacement should have received a notice.
