COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on small businesses, impeding economic viability across sectors. Businesses owned by women and people of color — who were already facing unequal access to credit and other historic barriers to institutional services and support — were especially hit hard.
LA County’s Department of Economic Opportunity, the City of LA’s Economic and Workforce Development Department, Bet Tzedek Legal Services, Public Counsel, and the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles have teamed up to provide assistance and relief for these business owners.
