From Assemblymember Luz Rivas Desk – Protect the Health and Safety of Domestic Workers in California
Today, I proudly presented #SB1257 authored by Senator MarÃa Elena Durazo to protect the health and safety of domestic workers in California. Last year, during our wildfires, we saw domestic workers forced to stay in evacuation zones by their employers, jeopardizing their wellbeing. For far too long, domestic workers have been excluded from labor protections. It is time we address this grave inequality by providing protection to our domestic workers.
