Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez - curb cuts at the intersection of Herrick Ave. & Ararat St.

The principal of Herrick Avenue Elementary contacted my office requesting curb cuts at the intersection of Herrick Ave. & Ararat St. in Sylmar. My office worked with the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering, City of Los Angeles Bureau of Street Services and LADOT Official to replace 5 curbs with ADA curb ramps, restripe two continental crosswalks and install fifteen bollards (please see more info below). These improvements will increase accessibility for students who walk to and from school. I am proud to work in collaboration with City departments to prioritize the safety of our children and families in the district. For more information please contact my district office at 818-756-8409

Improvements at the intersection of Herrick Ave. & Ararat St.:

– Restriping of 2 continental crosswalks
